Oh my goodness, let me just start this post by saying how BLESSED and THANKFUL I am for the incredible, as always, work that Tara did on our photos, I’ll be posting about our session soon once I pick my faves from the session!! But if you haven’t already PLEASE go check out Tara’s Instagram for more of her amazing work!! I know I say it all the time but I am so blessed for this incredibly talents woman in my life!! She spoils me with beautiful photos and I can’t ever thank her enough!! Ok ok! I can talk about how happy I am with our photos on the other post!!

This post is to give y’all a review on my experience with Rent The Runway!

Okay! So at a first glance of course I was extremely skeptical, and to be honest I don’t think I would have even given this site a chance had I not had friends of mine who had given it try. Anyway, this site has so many options of clothing to choose from, what I really love about the site itself is that it has filters that you can pick from to refine your search anywhere from body type, color, sleeve length, season, occasion, and quite a few more which was incredibly helpful because let’s face it, we all have and idea in our head of what kind of outfit we want to wear to event.

For me, I know I am super self conscious about my arms and my thighs, so I knew I wanted something that would cover both of those areas, and I knew that I had a color scheme I was going for, I knew I wanted something that would go with the colors in my living room, so mauve, grey, white, etc. so I knew I wanted my dress to be pink or mauve, I also knew that at the time we were planning on doing our session it was going to be warm, it’s Arizona in the middle of May so of course it’s going to be warm and I didn’t want to be miserable so I also chose the filter for warm weather.

It did take me a little while to decide on which style to go with because I did have a style in mind that I wanted. when I came across this style I loved that the site allows customer reviews and pictures, because this really helped me decide because they gave insight on how the dress fit them and how it looked.


For being a first customer they offer a discount. I believe i received a 30% discount on my rental price, they include a back up size in case the first size you choose doesn’t fit. They also sent me a second style FREE because it was my first purchase which is absolutely amazing!! The second dress fit really well too but unfortunately I didn’t take any photos other than a quick selfie in the mirror, with no makeup, hair in a bun, looking like a bum so I’ll skip including that pic lol they include an outfit insurance for just in case, in the event that something we’re to happen to any of the clothing, shipping to you and return shipping we’re also free!


All in all, I 100% recommend this site for renting clothing!! I love that they offer this because, and I know I’m not the only one, I always hate purchasing dresses for an occasion and only wearing it once and having it sit in my closet until I decide to give it away to goodwill. This site also offers other pieces of clothing too like blouses, pants, skirts etc. for those of you who don’t want to wear a dress! This is such a great option for anyone looking for an outfit for any occasion! A party, wedding, or like me for a Photoshoot!! They offer a rental period of 4 or 8 days, and you can also sign up for a membership which gives you the ability to have unlimited rentals!! Which honestly if I could afford it right now I SO would cuz that would be so cool to do because I know I am guilty of feeling like I have nothing to wear in my closet, full of clothes, lol but for now I will use this for occasional use, who knows maybe one day I’ll be able to sign up for the membership so I can look super stylish all the time.
